Portugal stocks lower at close of trade; PSI down 0.10%

– Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods , Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.10%.

The best performers of the session on the PSI were Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI: JMT ), which rose 1.90% or 0.33 points to trade at 17.74 at the close. Meanwhile, Nos SGPS SA (ELI: NOS ) added 1.01% or 0.04 points to end at 3.50 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI: CTT ) was up 0.45% or 0.02 points to 4.43 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI: MOTA ), which fell 3.33% or 0.08 points to trade at 2.44 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (ELI: EDPR ) declined 1.30% or 0.14 points to end at 10.65 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI: NVGR ) was down 1.24% or 0.05 points to 3.66.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.03% or 0.02 to $73.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $69.29 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.98% or 25.90 to trade at $2,656.90 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was down 0.71% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.34% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 106.77.
