Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 1.60%

– Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals , Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 1.60%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CSE: NSISb ), which rose 1.16% or 4.70 points to trade at 410.00 at the close. Meanwhile, GN Store Nord (CSE: GN ) added 0.65% or 0.90 points to end at 131.10 and Pandora A/S (CSE: PNDORA ) was up 0.56% or 6.00 points to 1,086.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE: MAERSKb ), which fell 3.58% or 440.00 points to trade at 11,850.00 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE: MAERSKa ) declined 3.29% or 390.00 points to end at 11,460.00 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE: NOVOb ) was down 2.21% or 16.30 points to 721.80.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 80 to 48 and 25 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.53% or 1.05 to $69.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.40% or 1.02 to hit $73.83 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.67% or 17.70 to trade at $2,669.40 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.53% to 7.11, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 106.91.
