Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.02%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.02%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NAS ), which rose 5.58% or 0.62 points to trade at 11.65 at the close. Meanwhile, SalMar ASA (OL: SALM ) added 1.37% or 8.00 points to end at 591.50 and Nel ASA (OL: NEL ) was up 1.19% or 0.04 points to 3.06 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Borr Drilling Ltd (OL: BORR ), which fell 6.17% or 2.46 points to trade at 37.42 at the close. Frontline Ltd (OL: FRO ) declined 2.22% or 4.00 points to end at 176.40 and Var Energi ASA (OL: VAR ) was down 1.08% or 0.39 points to 35.80.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 140 to 132 and 32 ended unchanged.

Shares in Borr Drilling Ltd (OL: BORR ) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.17% or 2.46 to 37.42.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.45% or 0.31 to $68.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.46% or 0.33 to hit $72.64 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 12.36 to trade at $2,663.84 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.53% to 11.68, while USD/NOK unchanged 0.02% to 11.05.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 105.83.
