Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials , Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Mandatum Oyj (HE: MANTA ), which rose 1.14% or 0.05 points to trade at 4.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortum Oyj (HE: FORTUM ) added 0.30% or 0.04 points to end at 13.54 and TietoEVRY Corp (HE: TIETO ) was up 0.06% or 0.01 points to 17.47 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE: OUT1V ), which fell 12.44% or 0.42 points to trade at 2.93 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE: METSB ) declined 2.95% or 0.13 points to end at 4.14 and KONE Oyj (HE: KNEBV ) was down 2.08% or 1.02 points to 48.09.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 107 to 68 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HE: OUT1V ) fell to 3-years lows; falling 12.44% or 0.42 to 2.93. Shares in Metsa Board Oyj B (HE: METSB ) fell to 5-year lows; falling 2.95% or 0.13 to 4.14.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.29% or 0.95 to $74.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.56% or 1.09 to hit $71.11 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.03% or 27.89 to trade at $2,681.51 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP rose 0.67% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 106.68.
