Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.26% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kemira Oyj (HE: KEMIRA ), which rose 1.57% or 0.30 points to trade at 19.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE: NOKIA ) added 1.50% or 0.06 points to end at 4.28 and Metso Oyj (HE: METSO ) was up 1.22% or 0.11 points to 9.13 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oyj (HE: NESTE ), which fell 4.62% or 0.56 points to trade at 11.68 at the close. Qt Group Oyj (HE: QTCOM ) declined 3.71% or 2.55 points to end at 66.20 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE: STERV ) was down 3.14% or 0.31 points to 9.44.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 99 to 65 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oyj (HE: NESTE ) fell to 5-year lows; falling 4.62% or 0.56 to 11.68.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.15% or 0.84 to $74.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.76% or 0.53 to hit $70.61 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 10.79 to trade at $2,651.21 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.19% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.82.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 106.89.
