Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 0.67%

Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Biomed , Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.67% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Camtek Ltd (TASE: CAMT ), which rose 7.78% or 2,130.00 points to trade at 29,500.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE: TEVA ) added 6.62% or 470.00 points to end at 7,570.00 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE: TSEM ) was up 4.37% or 810.00 points to 19,330.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Harel (TASE: HARL ), which fell 3.86% or 205.00 points to trade at 5,105.00 at the close. Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE: SPEN ) declined 2.21% or 65.00 points to end at 2,875.00 and Ormat Technologies (TASE: ORA ) was down 1.96% or 510.00 points to 25,550.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 242 to 226 and 69 ended unchanged.

Shares in Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE: TEVA ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 6.62% or 470.00 to 7,570.00. Shares in Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE: TSEM ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 4.37% or 810.00 to 19,330.00.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.67% or 0.47 to $70.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.04% or 0.76 to hit $73.95 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.31% or 8.16 to trade at $2,653.84 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was down 0.22% to 3.59, while EUR/ILS fell 0.36% to 3.76.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 106.86.
