Greece stocks higher at close of trade; Athens General Composite up 0.04%

Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking , Construction and Travel sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.04%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Titan Cement International SA (AT: TITCr ), which rose 2.30% or 0.90 points to trade at 40.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Petros Petropoulos SA (AT: PTRr ) added 1.70% or 0.14 points to end at 8.38 and Piraeus Port (AT: OLPr ) was up 1.51% or 0.45 points to 30.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT: DIMANDr ), which fell 3.73% or 0.31 points to trade at 8.00 at the close. Kri-Kri Milk (AT: KRIr ) declined 1.95% or 0.30 points to end at 15.05 and Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT: ELHA ) was down 1.77% or 0.03 points to 1.89.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 74 to 42 and 17 ended unchanged.

Shares in Titan Cement International SA (AT: TITCr ) rose to all time highs; rising 2.30% or 0.90 to 40.00. Shares in Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT: DIMANDr ) fell to all time lows; down 3.73% or 0.31 to 8.00.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.86% or 49.31 to $2,603.99 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.99% or 0.70 to hit $69.88 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.27% or 0.20 to trade at $73.19 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.50% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 107.97.
