Turkey stocks lower at close of trade; BIST 100 down 1.52%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms , Tourism and Banking sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.52%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS: AKSA ), which rose 3.98% or 0.46 points to trade at 12.01 at the close. Meanwhile, Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: OBAMS ) added 2.76% or 1.40 points to end at 52.10 and Limak Dogu Anadolu Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: LMKDC ) was up 2.63% or 0.80 points to 31.24 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS: KONTR ), which fell 6.86% or 3.10 points to trade at 42.10 at the close. Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS (IS: ISMEN ) declined 5.72% or 2.62 points to end at 43.20 and Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS: KTLEV ) was down 5.02% or 2.95 points to 55.80.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 445 to 122 and 16 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.89% or 50.06 to $2,603.24 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.94% or 0.66 to hit $69.92 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.18% or 0.13 to trade at $73.26 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.19% to 35.10, while EUR/TRY rose 0.60% to 36.48.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 107.87.
