Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.18%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Healthcare and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.18%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE: NOVOb ), which rose 2.77% or 16.70 points to trade at 619.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE: ZELA ) added 1.05% or 7.50 points to end at 720.00 and Coloplast A/S (CSE: COLOb ) was up 0.94% or 7.40 points to 793.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE: VWS ), which fell 7.40% or 7.70 points to trade at 96.70 at the close. Oersted AS (CSE: ORSTED ) declined 5.78% or 19.10 points to end at 311.50 and NKT Holding (CSE: NKT ) was down 2.63% or 13.50 points to 500.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 94 to 36 and 18 ended unchanged.

Shares in Oersted AS (CSE: ORSTED ) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.78% or 19.10 to 311.50.

Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.05% or 0.78 to $73.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.04% or 0.80 to hit $76.25 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 16.75 to trade at $2,682.15 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.38% to 7.24, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.52% at 108.94.
