Finland stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Helsinki 25 down 0.01%

Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms , Oil & Gas and Utilities sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.01%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE: ORNBV ), which rose 1.81% or 0.80 points to trade at 44.94 at the close. Meanwhile, UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE: UPM ) added 1.08% or 0.29 points to end at 27.19 and Sampo Oyj A (HE: SAMPO ) was up 1.03% or 0.40 points to 39.33 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (HE: NOKIA ), which fell 1.36% or 0.06 points to trade at 4.41 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE: CGCBV ) declined 1.05% or 0.55 points to end at 51.83 and KONE Oyj (HE: KNEBV ) was down 0.85% or 0.40 points to 46.50.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 96 to 78 and 15 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for March delivery was up 1.18% or 0.90 to $77.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.13% or 0.83 to hit $74.15 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 13.91 to trade at $2,686.31 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.19% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 109.02.
