Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Real Estate , Financials and Consumption sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 2.81%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Hapvida Participacoes e Investimentos (BVMF: HAPV3 ), which rose 10.45% or 0.23 points to trade at 2.43 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF: VAMO3 ) added 9.44% or 0.42 points to end at 4.87 and YDUQS Participacoes SA (BVMF: YDUQ3 ) was up 8.37% or 0.71 points to 9.19 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Marfrig Alimentos SA (BVMF: MRFG3 ), which fell 1.76% or 0.29 points to trade at 16.22 at the close. Klabin Unt (BVMF: KLBN11 ) declined 0.51% or 0.11 points to end at 21.58 and JBS SA (BVMF: JBSS3 ) was up 0.06% or 0.02 points to 34.97.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 702 to 251 and 50 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 3.71% to 27.79 a new 3-months low.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.39% or 37.34 to $2,719.64 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 3.52% or 2.69 to hit $79.06 a barrel, while the March US coffee C contract rose 2.72% or 8.75 to trade at $330.70 .
USD/BRL was down 0.78% to 6.01, while EUR/BRL fell 0.92% to 6.18.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 108.97.
