Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.51%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Chemicals , Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.51%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE: VWS ), which rose 4.82% or 4.60 points to trade at 99.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Oersted AS (CSE: ORSTED ) added 4.78% or 14.10 points to end at 309.00 and NKT Holding (CSE: NKT ) was up 2.98% or 14.70 points to 508.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Genmab (CSE: GMAB ), which fell 5.68% or 89.50 points to trade at 1,485.50 at the close. DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE: DSV ) declined 0.78% or 11.50 points to end at 1,471.50 and ISS A/S (CSE: ISS ) was 0.00% or 0.00 points to 129.20.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 86 to 48 and 21 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.49% or 1.90 to $78.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.05% or 1.64 to hit $81.56 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.80% or 21.49 to trade at $2,703.79 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.35% to 7.26, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 109.14.
