The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Iveco Group NV (BIT: IVG ), which rose 2.73% or 0.28 points to trade at 10.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Stellantis NV (BIT: STLAM ) added 2.37% or 0.30 points to end at 12.85 and UniCredit SpA (BIT: CRDI ) was up 1.54% or 0.65 points to 43.12 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Enel (BIT: ENEI ), which fell 2.16% or 0.15 points to trade at 6.79 at the close. Hera (BIT: HRA ) declined 1.62% or 0.06 points to end at 3.51 and Eni SpA (BIT: ENI ) was down 1.42% or 0.20 points to 13.89.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 264 to 239 and 47 ended unchanged.
Shares in UniCredit SpA (BIT: CRDI ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.54% or 0.65 to 43.12.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.97% or 0.75 to $76.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.73% or 0.59 to hit $80.20 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.86% or 23.59 to trade at $2,725.11 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.02% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.96% at 108.15.
