Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology , Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 rose 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Lotus Bakeries (EBR: LOTB ), which rose 2.51% or 260.00 points to trade at 10,620.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Melexis NV (EBR: MLXS ) added 2.16% or 1.30 points to end at 61.40 and Sofina (EBR: SOF ) was up 1.60% or 3.60 points to 228.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR: WDPP ), which fell 1.58% or 0.31 points to trade at 19.26 at the close. Cofinimmo SA (EBR: COFB ) declined 1.41% or 0.75 points to end at 52.30 and Galapagos NV (AS: GLPG ) was down 1.38% or 0.32 points to 22.86.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 55 to 41 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.89% or 24.41 to $2,724.29 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.92% or 0.71 to hit $76.68 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.74% or 0.60 to trade at $80.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 1.06% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.98% at 108.13.
