Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals , Construction and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.77% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Azoty SA (WA: ATTP ), which rose 9.77% or 1.88 points to trade at 21.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA: JSW ) added 5.11% or 1.15 points to end at 23.65 and Enea SA (WA: ENAE ) was up 4.01% or 0.54 points to 13.99 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CCC SA (WA: CCCP ), which fell 2.76% or 5.10 points to trade at 179.70 at the close. CD PROJEKT SA (WA: CDR ) declined 0.82% or 1.80 points to end at 216.70 and Allegro (WA: ALEP ) was down 0.63% or 0.17 points to 26.74.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 285 to 249 and 96 ended unchanged.
Shares in Enea SA (WA: ENAE ) rose to 5-year highs; up 4.01% or 0.54 to 13.99.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.56% or 1.21 to $76.18 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.34% or 1.08 to hit $79.71 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.94% or 25.91 to trade at $2,722.79 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.15% to 4.25, while USD/PLN fell 1.37% to 4.09.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.04% at 108.07.
