Turkey stocks lower at close of trade; BIST 100 down 0.30%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Textile & Leather , Wood, Paper & Printing and Tourism sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.30%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Alfa Solar Enerji AS (IS: ALFAS ), which rose 7.47% or 5.90 points to trade at 84.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Batisoke Soke Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS: BSOKE ) added 4.93% or 0.55 points to end at 11.70 and Girisim Elektrik Taahhut Ticaret & Sanayi AS (IS: GESAN ) was up 3.82% or 1.74 points to 47.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Tab Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: TABGD ), which fell 3.32% or 5.60 points to trade at 162.90 at the close. Cvk Maden Isletmeleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: CVKMD ) declined 3.17% or 10.75 points to end at 328.75 and Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS: AKSA ) was down 2.89% or 0.32 points to 10.77.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 417 to 159 and 7 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.06% or 1.56 to $2,750.26 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.86% or 1.44 to hit $75.95 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.17% or 0.94 to trade at $79.21 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.20% to 35.63, while EUR/TRY rose 0.13% to 37.09.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.08% at 108.03.
