Colombia stocks higher at close of trade; COLCAP up 1.12%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials , Services and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.12%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Corporacion Financiera Colombiana (BVC: CFV_p ), which rose 2.71% or 400.00 points to trade at 15,180.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (BVC: CFV ) added 2.52% or 400.00 points to end at 16,300.00 and Mineros SA (BVC: MAS ) was up 1.73% or 80.00 points to 4,700.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ecopetrol SA (BVC: ECO ), which fell 3.30% or 60.00 points to trade at 1,760.00 at the close. Cementos Argos SA (BVC: CCB ) declined 3.00% or 300.00 points to end at 9,700.00 and Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC: CNE ) was down 2.80% or 300.00 points to 10,400.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Mineros SA (BVC: MAS ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.73% or 80.00 to 4,700.00.

US coffee C for March delivery was up 1.00% or 3.43 to $345.28 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 0.98% or 114.00 to hit $11,561.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.36% or 10.05 to trade at $2,760.85 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 0.90% to 4,222.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.53% to 712.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 107.93.
