Colombia stocks higher at close of trade; COLCAP up 1.20%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials , Services and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.20% to hit a new 6-months high.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC: BVC ), which rose 4.21% or 420.00 points to trade at 10,400.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC: SIS_p ) added 2.99% or 760.00 points to end at 26,180.00 and Mineros SA (BVC: MAS ) was up 2.95% or 140.00 points to 4,890.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Cementos Argos Pf (BVC: CCB_p ), which fell 1.49% or 160.00 points to trade at 10,560.00 at the close. Grupo Bolivar SA (BVC: SCA ) declined 1.25% or 780.00 points to end at 61,600.00 and Ecopetrol SA (BVC: ECO ) was down 0.85% or 15.00 points to 1,760.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Mineros SA (BVC: MAS ) rose to 5-year highs; up 2.95% or 140.00 to 4,890.00.

US coffee C for March delivery was up 1.04% or 3.63 to $351.18 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.38% or 160.00 to hit $11,433.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.19% or 33.26 to trade at $2,773.34 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 0.77% to 4,190.25, while BRL/COP rose 0.49% to 709.91.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 107.15.
