Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate , Telecoms & IT and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 2.32%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Bankinter (BME: BKT ), which rose 4.15% or 0.39 points to trade at 9.79 at the close. Meanwhile, Indra A (BME: IDR ) added 4.02% or 1.06 points to end at 27.42 and ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (BME: ACS ) was up 3.94% or 1.91 points to 50.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME: SLRS ), which fell 0.15% or 0.01 points to trade at 6.58 at the close. Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME: ANE ) added 0.38% or 0.06 points to end at 15.70 and Redeia Corporacion SA (BME: REDE ) was up 0.38% or 0.07 points to 18.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 169 to 39 and 9 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.81% or 26.39 to $3,218.21 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.91% or 0.56 to hit $60.94 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.62% or 0.40 to trade at $64.36 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP fell 0.66% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.53% at 99.36.
