Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms , Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 2.68%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sinch AB (ST: SINCH ), which rose 6.49% or 1.23 points to trade at 20.18 at the close. Meanwhile, Hexagon AB ser. B (ST: HEXAb ) added 6.24% or 5.30 points to end at 90.00 and NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST: NIBEb ) was up 5.19% or 1.80 points to 35.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST: SBBb ), which fell 0.14% or 0.01 points to trade at 3.63 at the close. Essity AB B (ST: ESSITYb ) added 0.51% or 1.40 points to end at 277.90 and Evolution AB (ST: EVOG ) was up 0.63% or 5.00 points to 795.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 597 to 173 and 49 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.91% or 0.56 to $60.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.62% or 0.40 to hit $64.36 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.81% or 26.39 to trade at $3,218.21 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was unchanged 0.04% to 11.11, while USD/SEK unchanged 0.03% to 9.77.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.53% at 99.36.
