Portugal stocks higher at close of trade; PSI up 0.95%

Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials , Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI added 0.95%.

The best performers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI: MOTA ), which rose 4.94% or 0.16 points to trade at 3.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI: BCP ) added 3.24% or 0.02 points to end at 0.54 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI: CTT ) was up 3.16% or 0.21 points to 6.86 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (ELI: EDPR ), which fell 1.07% or 0.08 points to trade at 7.38 at the close. Semapa (ELI: SEM ) declined 0.49% or 0.08 points to end at 15.40 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI: NVGR ) was down 0.43% or 0.01 points to 3.23.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 16 to 7 and 4 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for June delivery was down 0.62% or 0.40 to $64.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.91% or 0.56 to hit $60.94 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.83% or 26.99 to trade at $3,217.61 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP fell 0.66% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 99.38.
