Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Travel & Leisure , Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 2.87%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Telecom Italia (BIT: TLIT ), which rose 5.46% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.31 at the close. Meanwhile, Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT: UNPI ) added 5.25% or 0.70 points to end at 14.13 and Banco Bpm SpA (BIT: BAMI ) was up 5.19% or 0.44 points to 9.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amplifon (BIT: AMPF ), which fell 1.57% or 0.28 points to trade at 17.56 at the close. Snam SpA (BIT: SRG ) added 0.99% or 0.05 points to end at 4.68 and Enel (BIT: ENEI ) was up 1.23% or 0.09 points to 7.08.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 451 to 89 and 37 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.83% or 0.51 to $60.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.54% or 0.35 to hit $64.41 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.85% or 27.69 to trade at $3,216.91 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP fell 0.67% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 99.38.
