Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials , Utilities and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 2.49%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE: OUT1V ), which rose 4.61% or 0.14 points to trade at 3.18 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HE: STERV ) added 3.90% or 0.29 points to end at 7.68 and Metso Oyj (HE: METSO ) was up 3.71% or 0.30 points to 8.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elisa Oyj (HE: ELISA ), which rose 0.99% or 0.44 points to trade at 44.90 at the close. Kojamo (HE: KOJAMO ) added 1.03% or 0.10 points to end at 9.32 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE: TYRES ) was up 1.34% or 0.09 points to 6.43.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 142 to 33 and 13 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was down 0.43% or 0.28 to $64.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.67% or 0.41 to hit $61.09 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.84% or 27.26 to trade at $3,217.34 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP fell 0.69% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.49% at 99.41.
