Investing.com-- Taiwan’s Compal Electronics Inc (TW: 2324 ), Wiwynn Corp (TW: 6669 ), and U.S.-based Jabil Inc (NYSE: JBL ) are preparing revised bids for Advanced Micro Devices Inc’s (AMD) (NASDAQ: AMD ) AI server assembly plants, Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday citing people familiar with the matter.

The facilities, located in Texas and New Jersey, could fetch between $3 billion and $4 billion, with final bids expected in the coming days, the Bloomberg report stated.

Taiwan’s Inventec Corp (TW: 2356 ) and Pegatron Corp (TW: 4938 ) had earlier shown interest in the assets, but have dropped out, the report said.

AMD acquired the plants through its recent $4.9 billion purchase of ZT Systems and plans to divest the manufacturing unit to avoid competition with major clients such as Dell Technologies Inc (NYSE: DELL ) and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE ), according to the report.

The sites are seen as valuable due to their skilled workforce and strategic relevance amid rising U.S. tariffs under President Donald Trump, prompting Taiwanese tech firms to expand stateside, Bloomberg reported.
