Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate , Telecoms & IT and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 2.06%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Banco Santander (BME: SAN ), which rose 3.59% or 0.21 points to trade at 6.01 at the close. Meanwhile, Amadeus IT (BME: AMA ) added 3.55% or 2.36 points to end at 68.88 and Caixabank SA (BME: CABK ) was up 3.14% or 0.21 points to 6.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Puig Brands SA (BME: PUIGb ), which fell 4.66% or 0.73 points to trade at 14.92 at the close. Acerinox (BME: ACX ) added 0.26% or 0.03 points to end at 9.69 and Repsol (BME: REP ) was up 0.46% or 0.05 points to 9.98.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 162 to 29 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.37% or 11.91 to $3,238.21 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.67% or 0.41 to hit $61.12 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.69% or 0.45 to trade at $64.43 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.63% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP fell 0.85% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 99.89.
