Poland stocks lower at close of trade; WIG30 down 0.02%

Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Developers , Construction and Information Technology sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.02%.

The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA: CPS ), which rose 4.88% or 0.82 points to trade at 17.50 at the close. Meanwhile, 11BIT (WA: 11B ) added 4.48% or 9.00 points to end at 210.00 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA: TPE ) was up 2.17% or 0.10 points to 4.80 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Alior Bank SA (WA: ALRR ), which fell 3.75% or 4.05 points to trade at 103.85 at the close. Allegro (WA: ALEP ) declined 2.00% or 0.63 points to end at 30.88 and CCC SA (WA: CCCP ) was down 1.70% or 4.00 points to 231.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 268 to 241 and 113 ended unchanged.

Shares in Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA: CPS ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.88% or 0.82 to 17.50.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.01% or 1.23 to $62.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.82% or 1.18 to hit $65.85 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 2.87% or 93.11 to trade at $3,333.51 a troy ounce.

EUR/PLN was down 0.20% to 4.28, while USD/PLN fell 0.91% to 3.77.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 99.36.
