Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials , Healthcare and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 rose 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Azelis Corporate Services NV (EBR: AZE ), which rose 3.42% or 0.45 points to trade at 13.61 at the close. Meanwhile, UCB SA (EBR: UCB ) added 2.57% or 3.75 points to end at 149.70 and Umicore SA (EBR: UMI ) was up 2.14% or 0.18 points to 8.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lotus Bakeries (EBR: LOTB ), which fell 1.68% or 140.00 points to trade at 8,190.00 at the close. Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (EBR: ABI ) declined 1.58% or 0.92 points to end at 57.32 and Elia (EBR: ELI ) was down 0.72% or 0.65 points to 89.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 56 to 38 and 8 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.61% or 53.90 to $3,294.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.24% or 0.15 to hit $62.94 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.24% or 0.16 to trade at $66.71 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 99.27.
