The dust is beginning to settle on an eventful and dramatic US election period, which resulted in Donald Trump beating Kamala Harris in the race for the White House.

In the wake of Trump's win, the markets responded and many stocks were being closely watched.

Our pre-election poll asked readers whether a Trump or Harris victory would benefit the stock market most.

The poll received 1,158 votes and garnered a mixed response. In total, 45% of readers thought Trump would have the most beneficial impact, while 35% opted for Harris and 20% were undecided.
