– Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials , Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Italy 40 declined 0.70% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Italy 40 were Brunello Cucinelli (BIT: BCU ), which rose 1.73% or 1.60 points to trade at 94.25 at the close. Meanwhile, Assicurazioni Generali SpA (BIT: GASI ) added 1.58% or 0.43 points to end at 27.70 and Snam SpA (BIT: SRG ) was up 1.37% or 0.06 points to 4.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stellantis NV (BIT: STLAM ), which fell 4.79% or 0.61 points to trade at 12.20 at the close. Pirelli & C SPA (BIT: PIRC ) declined 4.58% or 0.24 points to end at 4.96 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT: CPRI ) was down 2.45% or 0.14 points to 5.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 332 to 195 and 46 ended unchanged.
Shares in Assicurazioni Generali SpA (BIT: GASI ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.58% or 0.43 to 27.70.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.07% or 0.05 to $68.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.08% or 0.06 to hit $72.42 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 9.11 to trade at $2,651.71 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 107.03.
