Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.62%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas , Consumer Goods and Financials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.62%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE: VWS ), which rose 4.00% or 4.20 points to trade at 107.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Rockwool International B (CSE: ROCKb ) added 2.52% or 66.00 points to end at 2,688.00 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE: MAERSKb ) was up 2.45% or 280.00 points to 11,725.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Coloplast A/S (CSE: COLOb ), which fell 1.74% or 15.80 points to trade at 891.80 at the close. Novozymes A/S B (CSE: NSISb ) declined 1.09% or 4.50 points to end at 409.90 and Carlsberg A/S B (CSE: CARLb ) was down 0.95% or 7.00 points to 729.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 70 to 59 and 19 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.12% or 0.08 to $68.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $72.26 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.59 to trade at $2,665.39 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.16% to 7.07, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 106.18.
