Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.22%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.22%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Borr Drilling Ltd (OL: BORR ), which rose 8.66% or 3.18 points to trade at 39.92 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker BP ASA (OL: AKRBP ) added 3.42% or 7.50 points to end at 227.10 and Equinor ASA (OL: EQNR ) was up 2.54% or 6.60 points to 266.80 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL: KOG ), which fell 4.74% or 63.00 points to trade at 1,267.00 at the close. Tomra Systems ASA (OL: TOM ) declined 2.13% or 3.30 points to end at 151.90 and Frontline Ltd (OL: FRO ) was down 1.36% or 2.35 points to 170.45.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 146 to 135 and 24 ended unchanged.

Shares in Frontline Ltd (OL: FRO ) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.36% or 2.35 to 170.45.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.08% or 1.40 to $68.60 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.77% or 1.26 to hit $72.38 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.16% or 30.79 to trade at $2,690.39 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.35% to 11.74, while USD/NOK fell 0.58% to 11.08.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 105.49.
