Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure , Pharmaceutical Industry and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.88% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Fenie Brossette (CSE: FBR ), which rose 7.75% or 12.80 points to trade at 178.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Itissalat Al-Maghrib (CSE: IAM ) added 5.89% or 6.45 points to end at 116.00 and Societe d’Exploitation des Ports SA (CSE: MSA ) was up 5.84% or 41.00 points to 742.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SMI (CSE: SMI ), which fell 9.96% or 279.00 points to trade at 2,521.00 at the close. IB Maroc Com SA (CSE: IBC ) declined 4.63% or 1.92 points to end at 39.57 and Lesieur Cristal (CSE: LES ) was down 4.38% or 12.15 points to 265.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 31 to 24 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Itissalat Al-Maghrib (CSE: IAM ) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.89% or 6.45 to 116.00. Shares in Societe d’Exploitation des Ports SA (CSE: MSA ) rose to all time highs; rising 5.84% or 41.00 to 742.50.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.19% or 0.13 to $69.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $72.49 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 7.99 to trade at $2,926.79 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was unchanged 0.01% to 10.41, while USD/MAD rose 0.06% to 9.92.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 106.26.
