Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials , Technology and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI gained 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI: BCP ), which rose 3.80% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.56 at the close. Meanwhile, Nos SGPS SA (ELI: NOS ) added 1.61% or 0.06 points to end at 3.78 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI: IBS ) was up 1.56% or 0.14 points to 9.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI: JMT ), which fell 2.28% or 0.50 points to trade at 21.40 at the close. Altri SGPS SA (ELI: ALSS ) declined 1.29% or 0.08 points to end at 6.22 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI: EDP ) was down 1.05% or 0.04 points to 3.29.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 16 to 8 and 1 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ibersol SGPS (ELI: IBS ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.56% or 0.14 to 9.14.
Brent oil for June delivery was down 2.51% or 1.69 to $65.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.78% or 1.77 to hit $61.90 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 3.51% or 119.94 to trade at $3,299.46 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.57% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.69% at 99.38.
